BIOGRAPHY:

Bailey-Michelle Collins has received praise for her performances of George Gershwin’s Concerto in F. In 2018, she was named winner in the Lynn Concerto Competition, where she performed for a panel of esteemed judges including Avery Fischer Grant recipient Lydia Artymiw. She later appeared with the Lynn Philharmonia during their fall season and was featured with the Tampa Bay Symphony as winner of the Jack Heller Young Artist Competition. Bailey-Michelle gave her New Mexico debut in 2020 with the Santa Fe Symphony under Guillermo Figueroa, and was named a prizewinner in the IV George Gershwin International Piano Competition in New York City, NY.

A fluent music instructor and collaborator, Bailey-Michelle proudly serves her community as a mentor for young musicians. She began her piano studies at age five in Gainesville, Florida and made her orchestral debut at age sixteen as winner of the David Hubbell Concerto Competition. Bailey-Michelle graduated summa cum laude from the Lynn Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Dr. Roberta Rust. She earned her masters degree under Benjamin Pasternack at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, where she currently pursues a performance diploma as a student of Yong Hi Moon.
