BIOGRAPHY:
Ten-Year-old pianist, Alani Gibson studies at the Colburn School of Music with Grace Han, a Julliard Scholar.
Alani is a three-time Merit Scholarship recipient at the Colburn School in Los Angeles, California. As a winner of the International Elite piano competition, Alani will be performing at Carnegie Hall. Alani was a guest performer at the Soul of Jazz Exhibit that gave homage to great composers of Jazz music. She has collaborated with Celloist Logan Nelson, of The Cleveland Institute of Music and has performed for The Walt Disney Company and Royal Caribbean International. Alani has a passion for service, providing music therapy at Merrill Gardens in her community. Her dream is to perform at the White House during the Christmas Season.
#1 ranked amongst United States based entrants for the Rising Stars Grand Prix Music Competition in 2022. Alani has attended master classes with Kris Bowers, Lang Lang, and Pedja Muzijevic. She is extremely honored to participate in the inaugural Nina Simone Piano Competition and hopes to play in such a way that Ms. Simone would be proud.
Alani’s interests are creative writing, swimming, and has been recognized by NASA as a next generation Artemis kid.
