BIOGRAPHY:

Jas Ogiste is a classical pianist and scholar from New York City. She has performed at Lincoln Center, Salle Cortot, The United Palace Theater, Kaufman Music Center's Merkin Hall, The Harlem School of the Arts, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. As the pianist of the Manhattan Quintet at the Manhattan School of Music, they were selected to join the Orchestra of St. Lukes' 2024 Young Artist Program, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's 2024-25 programming, and were finalists at the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition. Jas has also served as Staff Pianist for The Harlem Chamber Players and Sugar Hill Salon Chamber Music since 2022, and she worked as a researcher for WQXR's podcast, "Every Voice with Terrance McKnight". Jas received her BM in Piano Performance and BA in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College and Conservatory, studying under Haewon Song, and her MM in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, studying under Jiayin Li. For the 2025-26 academic year, Jas is a Harriet Hale Woolley Scholar and Artist-in-Residence at the Fondation des États-Unis in Paris. She will be pursuing a Diplôme Supérieur at the École Normale de Musique de Paris "Alfred Cortot", studying with Suzana Bartal.
